Harvest Sausage Stuffing

Servings: 12 cups, enough to stuff a 12- to 15-lb. turkey

Ingredients
  • 1 pound bulk country sausage
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 2 cups (about 8 oz.) sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • 4 teaspoons chicken-flavor instant bouillon or 4 chicken-flavor bouillon cubes
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 (14 oz.) package herb seasoning stuffing mix
  • 1 (27 oz.) jar None Such® Ready-to-Use Classic Original Mincemeat
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
Directions
  1. BROWN sausage in large skillet; drain fat. Add celery, mushrooms and onion; cook until onion is tender. Dissolve bouillon in water. Add to sausage mixture; cook until mixture boils.
  2. COMBINE stuffing mix, mincemeat, water chestnuts and poultry seasoning in large bowl. Add sausage mixture; mix well. Stuff turkey or poultry lightly just before roasting. For any remaining stuffing, spray baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. Place remaining stuffing in prepared pan and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until hot.
